The world's longest ice-free fjord, the Sognefjord, is over 200 km long and 1,300 meters at its deepest point. Along with the national parks Jotunheimen and Jostedalsbreen, here you have one of the world's most beautiful landscapes, which offers a unique variety of experiences in nature, activities and cultural attractions.
From Lærdal Holiday- and Leisure Park you have a short way to experience the entire Sognefjord region with both Jotunheimen and Jostedalsbreen.
Experience the Sognefjord directly from the holiday park! Here you can swim at the beach or the harbour, row a canoe or row boat - enjoy the peace and quiet! Or by motorboat to go fishing or take one of the fjord cruises from Lærdal to Gudvangen through the Nærøyfjord. On a bike along the Sognefjord with great fjord views on almost car- free roads - you will hardly find a better experience!
Nærøyfjorden, fjord arm of Sognefjorden and part of Lærdal municipality is on Unesco's world heritage list.
Fjord experience by rowing boat - enjoy the silence of the fjord all by yourself or with the family! Fishing is possible. Lærdalsfjorden is not as hectic as other fjord arms such as Aurlandsfjorden or Nærøyfjorden.
Fjord experience with a fjord cruise ferry from Lærdal to Gudvangen. Experience the narrow Nærøyfjord! On the return journey to Lærdal, feel free to drive over the well-known "Snøvegen"/ Aurlandsvegen. This is one of the most beautiful tours in Norway and the world!

Jotunheimen National Park
Jotunheimen is the highest and largest mountain range in Norway and Scandinavia. Through the Jotunheimen National Park you can drive Northern Europe's highest mountain road, the Sognefjellsvegen. You can find one of the greatest sights on the road to Jotunheimen, Vettisfossen in Øvre Årdal, with its 275 meter free waterfall. Vettisfossen is about 50 km + a hike of about 2 hours away from the holiday park. The tour via "Tinvegen" from Øvre Årdal via Turtagrø and Nigardsbreen in Jostedalen is one of the most spectacular tours in our region. Read more about our recommended
Jostedalsbreen is Europe's largest mainland glacier. It is about 75 km plus a ferry ride away from the holiday park (about 2 hours by car). They also offer great guided glacier tours.
