Winter activities
In winter, as in summer, Lærdal is full of activity opportunities. Here you will find an overview of winter activities in the local area. We have access to facilities and nature within activities such as skiing, alpine skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing and mountain climbing. Ice skating rink.
Lærdal has a long tradition of ice skating and has its own 400-metre long track and a smaller track for children. The rink is open from mid-November to mid-March, depending on the weather.
Hiking trails
In winter, you can often go all the way to a height of 700- 800 meters without much snow. To walk long distances, we recommend walking shoes with a good grip. These hiking trails are generally well suited for winter hiking:

Cross-country skiing and alpine skiing
Lærdal is known for being poor in rainfall, therefore very little snow - but don't be afraid of not having a good skiing experience! In the region around Lærdal, you will find plenty of skiing activities for both cross-country skiing, free-riding and alpine skiing, e.g. one of Northern Europe's best-known and most beautiful ski resorts Skistar Hemsedal. Also don't forget the opportunities for roller skiing and summer ski training on good asphalted side roads with little traffic from the main road E-16.
Sluppen – cross-country skiing, free-riding, snowshoeing in one of Norway's most beautiful untouched nature, just 20 minutes by car from the holiday park. Open from about mid-February (winter holiday).
Fillefjell / Maristova (Gramstølen) – cross-country skiing, marked trail
Try the great groomed cross-country trails from Gramstølen (Maristova) in the west to the ski center at Fillefjell in the east, in a historic rush over King's road. You can find Maristova about 50 km from the holiday park along the E-16. Here you can also go on a great tour from Gramstølen across Sulebu to Børreli and back across Fillestølen, Buhaugane, Brusestølen and Stovestølen to Gramstølen.
Fillefjell / Nystuen – Alpine and cross-country skiing
About. 65 km (45 minuttar) from the holiday park you will find the ski center at Fillefjell with several ski lifts and slopes

Hemsedal / Hemsedalsfjellet – Alpine, cross-country skiing and freeriding.
Hemsedal (ca. 85 km from the holiday park - ca 1 hour) is one of the most successful ski destinations in Norway. These are Norway's Alps! Here you will find the best lift facilities and slopes and many other winter activities.
Myrkdalen / Voss – Alpine, cross-country and free-riding
A little further away but still affordable if you want to test everything in the area! In Myrkdalen you will find one of the snowiest ski resorts in Norway. About 1 hour and 15 minutes driving time.
Sogn Skisenter / Free-riding
